Cheri L. Riddle obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas Christian University in 1994. She has served as apart of the AmeriCorps VISTA program were she started her work with non-profit agencies as a volunteer coordinator. She worked with the San Antonio Literacy Council and the Bexar Area Agency on Aging. After completing her commitment with the VISTA program Cheri went to work for the United Methodist Church Southwest Texas Conference Office. During her seven years with the Conference she was the Conference Events Register and later became the Walk to Emmaus Registrar.
In 2004 Cheri and her husband Bob started their journey to adopt their daughter from China. They brought Amanda Xiaxin home on April 8, 2006.
In September 2006, Cheri joined the Great Wall China Adoption team of Regional Office Representative. As a Regional Office Representative, Cheri works to facilitate the formation of forever families by educating prospective parents about international adoption.
